Globalization, migration, digitalization, and the changing role of intermediary organizations such as political parties and associations are posing new challenges for democratic systems and leading to adjustments and changes. The relationship between citizens and democratic institutions is also undergoing change. The aim of this project is to examine how citizens’ attitudes toward democratic institutions are changing in the context of globalization, migration, and digitalization.
