The canton of Aargau and the state of Baden-Württemberg are hosting the eighth joint democracy conference in Aarau. The focus is on the question of the development and sustainability of democracy in the face of global challenges, such as increasing polarization and a loss of trust in democratic institutions.
On Friday, October 24, the following experts from the Center for Democracy Studies Aarau will be present:
- Input presentation by Monika Waldis: «Political education for democracy in the digital age»
- Workshop with Daniel Kübler: «Population councils in Switzerland: competition or complement to direct democracy?»
- Workshop with Manuel Hubacher and students from Alte Kanti: «Stories of the Futures: exploring democratic futures with AI»
